What about SPAM filtering?

SPAM (unsolicited e-mail) is a growing problem and as an e-mail provider, Fawcett Web Services strives to provide our customers with a near SPAM-free experience. While this is not possible to eliminate unwanted messages, we are able to provide our customers with a way to control how much junk makes it to their inbox. Fawcett Web Services has employed the help of more than eight software applications that check every message for viruses, fraudulent content and signs of SPAM. Our users also have the ability to change the sensitivity of these filters for their account, further allowing for a more enjoyable and efficient experience.

As of 8 MAR 2008, our servers report on average:

  • 52% of the messages processed daily are potentially SPAM.
  • 8 viruses are blocked per hour.
  • up to 600 messages per user, per day are marked as SPAM.
